Changes from the east

Good Saturday to one and all. We couldn’t ask for a better day than what we had on Friday. Low humidity, sunshine and below normal temps gave us a preview of late September. All of that goes away quickly this weekend as tropical air moves in from the east and southeast.

An upper level low is pinwheeling across the Ohio Valley today. This will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms blowing up as temps hit the low 80s. With the freezing level low to the ground, watch for some small hail.

Your Saturday radar…

A scattering of showers and thunderstorms will be around as we roll into Sunday. You will notice a big surge in temps and humidity levels. That’s a sign of things to come for the week ahead.

A big ridge of high pressure will set up shop around here:

GFSThat gives us a week featuring hazy, hot and humid conditions. Daily highs will range from the upper 80s to low 90s and with a chance for showers or thunderstorms.

The pattern is already signalling a breakdown by next weekend into the following week. That’s when we look to see a return of normal or below normal temps. Oh… and more showers and storms.

Have a great Saturday and take care.
