Good Monday to one and all. Heat and humidity have taken a back seat to the rainy weather we’ve had this summer. That is about to change as the H and H takes center stage. The good news is that it looks more like 15 minutes of fame as opposed to an Oscar.
Highs today will be near 90 degrees, with high humidity and the threat of a storm or two. Get used to hearing that line; it will be used for every day this week. Highs on any given day could hit the low 90s where you live.

A big change blows in by the weekend, as our jet stream starts to take a big dip. Take a look at the upper levels from the European Model:
The heat ridge does one heck of a disappearing act, and that will mean more widespread showers and thunderstorms for the weekend. Some of those storms could be strong, with high winds and heavy rains.
The longer-range models for next week show a cooler push of air coming back to the Bluegrass State.
