Good Tuesday, everybody. Hot and humid weather goes hand in hand with summer. That’s certainly the case this week as highs take off toward the lower 90s. But if this is as bad as the summer temps get, no one should really be complaining.
Isolated storms will join the hot weather party today, and the storm threat will increase over the next few days. The NAM and GFS are in agreement on the action spiking up Wednesday afternoon:
Any storm that blows up over the next few days will have the potential to be strong and put down heavy rainfall. Showers and storms will increase as we head into the weekend as a strong cold front approaches from the northwest. This should lead to widespread action, and we will need to keep a close eye on the heavy rain and severe weather threat.
Cooler air will push in behind the front, with highs in the low and mid 80s this weekend and early next week.
I leave you with regional radar to track any storm action that flares up today:
Make it a great day and take care.
