Good Tuesday to one and all. Showers and thunderstorms have been common over the past several days, with many areas picking up a lot of water. Guess what today has in store? Yep… more showers and thunderstorms.

Today’s storms are rolling through along and ahead of a cold front. This front will touch off the potential for a few strong or severe boomers. Damaging wind will be the main threat from today’s storms.

The cold front will clear the area later tonight and that will set the stage for a much cooler air mass for Wednesday. Take a look at the highs coming from the GFS:

GFSHighs will range from the upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. Temps will rebound into the 80-85 degree range for Thursday and Friday as isolated storms return.

A bigger push of cool air then moves in over the upcoming weekend:

Highs may not get out of the 70s for a day or two as lows drop well into the 50s by Sunday and Monday.

Showers and storms will be likely ahead of this push of cool air. Saturday looks to feature the highest chance for rain.

Have a great Tuesday and take care.
