A September pattern continues

Good Thursday to one and all. The end of July is normally the hottest part of the year… who wants to be normal? Temps are running way below normal and that’s a pattern that looks to continue through the weekend and into next week. September has come early.

Highs today will hit the upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. Friday will be a little warmer with 80-85 degrees for most areas after starting the day in the 50s.

A cold front arrives on Saturday as our jet stream takes a huge dip…

This means scattered showers and storms will return by Saturday as the front blows through. The air behind this system looks even cooler than what we have right now. Highs by Sunday and Monday will be in the mid and upper 70s.

Low temps may approach record levels…GFSLow and mid 50s would put likely cause some records to fall. Yes.. this is still July.

August looks to start with scattered showers and thunderstorms returning to our weather picture. Temps should get a little closer to normal.

Make it a great Thursday and take care.
