A stormy setup taking shape

Good Tuesday, everyone. We have been living a charmed weather life over the past few weeks with cool temps and a lot of sunny days. Those days are just about over. We have rounds of showers and thunderstorms on the way for much of the rest of this week.

Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a shower or storm of scattered variety. Temps will top out between 80 and 85 degrees. Here’s regional radar to track the action in from the west:

The rounds of showers and storms will really kick into high gear later tonight into Wednesday. The NAM shows a heavy rain maker rolling through here by tomorrow afternoon:


Several rounds of storms will then carry us into Thursday and Friday. Much of the region will pick up 1″-2″ of rain this week.
