A few storms return to the forecast

Good Friday, everyone. The weekend is ready to kick off with decent enough weather. We have been spoiled over the past few days with record cold temps and a taste of October.

That air is about to give way to something more typical of summer. Moisture will slowly increase today, and that might produce a stray shower or thunderstorm. The best chance for that will be across the southern part of the area. Regional radar will help you track anything¬† that’s out there:

Highs today will hit the mid and upper 70s in most areas.

The threat of showers and storms will increase over the weekend as moisture moves in from the south. The GFS shows the best chances coming during the afternoon and evening hours:

We will have to see how much juice from the Gulf of Mexico can get in here. Something tropical might be brewing down there over the next few days.

The pattern as we roll into next weekend will feature more humidity and higher temps:

Euro 2

Highs will reach the 80s, with a daily threat of a scattered shower or thunderstorm.

Have a great Friday and take care.
