A pattern more typical of August

Good Monday, and welcome to a week that will finally start to feel like August. Temps and humidity levels will continue to rise over the next few days. We also will deal with a daily threat of showers and thunderstorms.

Those scattered showers and storms will be on the move Monday, and I have you all set to track them:

We have been spoiled over the past week and change with another taste of fall air, so the weather this week will feel almost toasty. This week will feature highs in the 80s, which is nothing more than normal for this time of year.

The flow will continue to come from the south for most of the week, and that will bring moisture into town. Here’s the setup:


Any storm that blows up will have the potential to bring heavy rainfall to the region.

A cold front makes a run at us by the end of the week, and that might cause some problems for the start of the high school football season. Here’s an early look at what to expect:
