Storms Pack A Deadly Punch

Good evening, everyone. Strong thunderstorms continue to roll across central and eastern Kentucky this evening. These are loaded with lightning and torrential rainfall that can produce local flooding. The storms will weaken as the evening wears on.

Here’s a look at some of the storm reports:

Two men were killed after lightning hit a barn they were working on along the Madison/Garrard County line.

High water briefly closed several roads near Lancaster in Garrard County.

Flooding closed part of main street in Campton in Wolfe County.

Flooding is ongoing across sections of Floyd and Pike Counties.
