Good Thursday, everyone. Showers and thunderstorms caused all kinds of problems across the bluegrass state Wednesday. Torrential rains and lightning have been the primary players with the recent storms and that trend continues out there today.
The storms will flare up as the day wears on and you can track them on our network of radars:
A cold front will make a run at us on Friday and will bring another round of showers and storms with it. Check out the NAM future radar:
It’s going to be a very close call on whether or not we get the front to totally clear the region in time for high school football. Let’s take the positive approach:
The farther south your game is, the better the shot you have of seeing a shower or storm to start the game.
The weather this weekend looks much better with readings in the low 80s for highs and 50s for lows. Those nice temps will be accompanied by partly sunny skies.
The heat is going to make a run at us next week. Can it get in here or just close enough to produce a few storms to go along with high humidity levels? We will have to wait and see, but 90 degrees is possible before next week is finished.
