Good Friday, folks. We are following a cold front across the state today and it has high school football fans on pins and needles. Will it clear out of here by the time we start the brand new season? What about the weekend?
Whatever your weather question… I have the answers.
Scattered showers and storms will continue across the state through much of the day. Heavy downpours will be possible with these boomers and we have you all set to track them:
Cooler and drier air will filter in behind the front and that will shut the storms down from north to south this afternoon and evening. We could still hang on to a scattered storm for games across the south, but most of the games look dry:
The nice weather will hang tough into Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low and mid 80s with lower humidity levels. Skies will be partly sunny.
A big heat wave is building in across the plains states and will try to work our way into next week. This will put our temps into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. The orientation of the heat ridge may also deliver us a few rounds of storms from the northwest:
Have a great Friday and take care.
