Good Friday, everyone. We have a fantastic stretch of weather ongoing across central and eastern Kentucky. The question I’ve been getting of late… will this nice weather continue into the weekend? The short answer is, yes!
We are kicking off the weekend in fantastic fashion today with low humidity levels, sunny skies and pleasant temps. Readings will top out into the upper 70s for most areas. High school football fans will have see temps in the low to mid 70s for kickoff with 60s during the second half.
Speaking of kickoff… the Kentucky Wildcats have their home opener Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium. The weather for the Noon start is looking awesome:
Early morning tailgaters will need the sweatshirts with temps in the 50s. Overall, it looks like another great weather day.
That may change up a bit on Sunday as moisture starts to return. That means isolated showers and storms return to the forecast:
Scattered showers and storms will be around early next week as temps warm into the 80s for highs.
Many of the models are hinting at a strong system diving into the Ohio Valley from the northwest by Thursday:
That would mean showers and storms could become widespread and lead to MUCH cooler temps.
Make it a great Friday and take care.
