Steamy days are numbered

Good Tuesday, everyone. We have a very steamy weather pattern across central and eastern Kentucky. If you’re sick and tired of the steam bath… hang in there, we have a major weather change on the way.

Temps today will be back into the middle and upper 80s across our part of the world. A 90 or two will be possible across the typical warmer locations. Isolated showers and storms will crank up during the afternoon and evening hours. You can track those on our radar network:

A better threat for showers and storms will be with us Wednesday as temps stay toasty. A strong cold front will dive in here on Thursday and that should have a line of showers and storms with it:

The air coming in behind that front will be way below normal for the middle of September:GFS

Highs Friday into Saturday will be in the 70-75 degree range for many under mainly sunny skies. Overnight lows will be the coolest since back in the spring:GFS 3For those of us who love fall, that is a thing of beauty!

Make it a terrific Tuesday and take care.
