Here comes a cold front

Good Saturday to one and all. We have one more awesome weather day to throw your way before some changes work in. The change is in the form of a strong cold front that will sweep in here tomorrow. There’s also a big change showing up on the computer models by next weekend.

Before I get into the weather, I want to talk a bit about what was streaking across the Friday evening sky. Another large meteor was visible across our region around 11:30 last night. This thing was visible across much of the eastern part of the country.

Temps today will be very similar to what we had Friday. Highs will top out around 80 under partly sunny skies.

Current Temperatures

Nothing has changed with the forecast for tonight’s game at Commonwealth Stadium:

UK Forecast

Clouds will increase later tonight as our cold front inches closer. That front moves in here on Saturday with shower increasing from west to east. Temps ahead of the showers may spike toward the low 70s across the east. Many areas will stay in the 60s as the showers roll in.

Leftover showers will hang around into Monday with highs back into the upper 60s to low 70s for the last day of the month.

The threat for a shower or storm will be with us each and every day next week. The rain and storm chances look to ramp up by Friday as a powerful cold front approaches:

Euro 2The coldest air of the season is likely to move in behind that boundary. Could this bring the first frost of the fall into Kentucky? Stay tuned!

Have a great day and take care.
