Good Monday, everyone. Wow! What a weekend of weather across central and eastern Kentucky. Record setting rains, severe thunderstorms and a wicked temperature change combined to give us some nasty conditions. It’s the temperature change that’s taking over today as chilly air blows in.
Skies will be partly cloudy to start this Monday out, but will start to cloud over during the afternoon. Isolated showers will be possible as a huge cold pool aloft floats over the region. That shows up well on the NAM:
This means a breezy and chilly day across the entire region. High temps may struggle to get much past the 60 degree mark. Here’s your daily dose of weather trackers:
Temps by Tuesday morning will drop close to 40 degrees and I can’t rule out a few upper 30s. Skies will be partly sunny for the afternoon hours with highs in the low and mid 60s.
