Good Friday, folks. We continue to bask in the glory of a gorgeous fall pattern across the commonwealth. That trend will take us into the upcoming weekend, but I’m watching for some big time changes to move our into next week. A wet and chilly pattern looks to be in the making.
Today will feature temps around 75 under mostly sunny skies. What a gorgeous day to be out at Keeneland!
The number one team in the country comes to Commonwealth Stadium Saturday night to tangle with the Cats. The forecast looks wonderful:
It will be a mainly sunny and windy day for tailgaters with highs in the 70s. Some clouds will increase by the end of the evening and a couple of showers may not be too far behind. One or two of these will be around Sunday, but much of the day looks dry.
The real change begins with a powerful plains storms early next week. That will head into the Great Lakes and drag a cold front our way by Wednesday:
Showers and thunderstorms will increase ahead of this front as much colder air pushes in behind it. Take a look at the huge trough unleashing the cold:
