A Nasty Halloween Ahead

Good Tuesday, weather peeps. We have a big time storm system developing to our west and this will have a major impact on our weather as we go forward. Unfortunately, this means our Halloween Forecast continues to look nasty.

Ahead of our storm, temps will continue to warm.  Highs today will reach the 60-65 degree range for many and should climb close to 70 for Wednesday. Winds will gust up during this time and we will see some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Get used to seeing your network of radars:

Our strong storm system developing across the plains will work into the Great Lakes on Thursday. This will drag a cold front across the state:

Here’s what that means for your Halloween:

– Widespread rain and thunderstorms will work eastward during the day and evening. Locally heavy rain of 1″-2″ will be possible for many.

– Winds will be very gusty and may reach 40mph at times.

– A few of the storms could be strong… especially across the west and south.

The rain will end from west to east early Friday as temps chill down some. A bigger blast of chilly air moves in over the weekend:

EuroThat should give us highs in the upper 40s and low 50s with lows dropping into the 20s by Sunday. There is a small chance for a rain/ mix shower at some point on Saturday.

Have a great day and take care.
