Good Sunday, everyone. The first weekend of November is ready to wrap up on a rather chilly, but pleasant note. The tranquil conditions out there today will give way to another busy period as we head into the new week.
Highs today will run in the upper 40s to low 50s under partly sunny skies. We will hit the high 20s and low 30s by Monday morning. Afternoon readings will warm into the low to mid 50s.
Tuesday continues to look good with highs into the upper 50s. It’s once into Wednesday that we start to see changes brewing. Winds will pick up as a cold front draws closer from the west. Highs will warm into the 60s on a gusty southwesterly wind and a late day shower or thunderstorm will be possible.
Rain and wind will increase Wednesday night into early Thursday as the front slams in:
Heavy rain will be likely with that system and temps will come crashing down as the front moves through. Take a look at the difference in high temps:
The overall pattern has the look of one that can produce a lot of rain for the Ohio Valley into the lower Mississippi Valley. This happens as warmer air hangs around the southeastern part of the country and does battle with cold air to our northwest:
