Showers to usher in a chilly change

Good Tuesday, everyone. Seasonally mild air continues to filter into central and eastern Kentucky early this week. That will all come crashing down by the time we hit Thursday as chilly showers blow into the bluegrass.

Between now and then… it’s pretty darn nice. Highs today will warm into the 60-65 degree range with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will be rather breezy from the southwest. That southwesterly wind will boost temps into the mid and high 60s on Wednesday as clouds increase.

Those clouds will produce gusty showers as we head into late Wednesday and early Thursday. That’s when a cold front sweeps in from the west.

NAM 2Check out the blast of chill coming behind the front:

Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 40s with drying setting in by the afternoon hours. Temps hit the upper 20s by Friday morning.

A second system rolls just to our north over the weekend. This will bring an increase in winds and some clouds, but most of the showers stay away:

EuroTemps on Saturday warm into the mid and upper 50s and then drop to the upper 40s for highs on Sunday. Upper 20s for lows will be around Sunday into Monday.

Have a great day and take care.
