Good Saturday, everyone. If you’re a fan of nice weather, here’s some friendly advice. Get out and soak it up over the next few days. You can thank me later. Why do I say this? Because we have a healthy shot of winter coming in early next week.
As always, we start with the weather of the moment. Highs today will hit the mid and upper 50s and may hit 60 for a few spots. Skies will be partly sunny.
Sunday starts in the low 30s and ends in the low and mid 50s. Veterans Day Monday looks to feature similar conditions.
The change blows in here late Monday night into Tuesday morning. That’s when an arctic cold front surges in from the northwest. This will deliver a shot of snow along and behind this boundary and that shows up well on the NAM:
Can this setup deliver a small accumulations? It’s certainly a possibility and the latest European Model shows this possibility:
Here’s what I see happening with thus system:
- A period of light snow will be possible from late Monday night into Tuesday morning. A very small accumulation is possible for some.
- Winds will be very gusty and may approach 30mph at times.
- Highs Tuesday will stay in the low and mid 30s. Wind chills may dip into the teens.
- Some leftover snowflakes may fly into Wednesday with lows near 20 and highs back into the 30s.
Have a great day and take care.
