Good Wednesday, everyone. Our blast of arctic cold continues to deliver another very cold day in the Bluegrass State. This round of cold will ease over the next few days as temps get set to rise by the weekend. Don’t get too excited, though: Another arctic surge will follow that.
Highs today will reach the upper 30s to near 40 under mainly sunny skies. Lows in the low 20s early Thursday will give way to highs in the upper 40s under mainly sunny skies.
A couple of showers might develop Friday and Saturday as much milder air works in. Temps will really take off by Sunday as highs hit the low 60s. That will come with a price as showers and some thunderstorms begin to increase. The stormy weather will kick into high gear Monday as another arctic front swings in by the end of the day.
Some pretty significant rain totals will be possible during this time:
As mentioned, the showers and thunderstorms will introduce another big temperature plunge:The air moving in by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week might be as cold as or colder than what we are seeing now. Can we get a touch of snow to go along with it? It’s a small possibility as of now.
The pattern heading into Thanksgiving week continues to look interesting as it takes on a wintry look.
Make it a great day and take care.
