Good evening, all. Showers continue to roll across the state and this action will become much more widespread overnight into Saturday. Thunderstorms will begin to develop during this time and the potential is there for strong or severe storms.
The Storm Prediction Center has place much of central and western Kentucky in the slight risk area…
Damaging winds will be the primary threat with isolated tornadoes possible… especially in the far west. Heavy rainfall will also be a major concern across the same areas I’ve been highlighting, so keep a close eye on the waterways.
Gusty winds of 40mph or higher will be possible for many… even without thunderstorms. Temps tomorrow may hit 70 in some spots.
It all comes crashing down behind the cold front late Sunday into early Monday. Some models are still trying to develop a wave of low pressure along this boundary to our east.
