Festive flakes and frigid temps today

Good Tuesday and welcome to Christmas Eve. Old Man Winter is making a very cold return to the bluegrass state, just in time for the holidays. Arctic cold winds are blowing today and we are likely to see some flurries moving through.

Two systems will bring some flakes to the region over the next few days. The first swings across the state early this morning and may have a band of light snow along it. This MAY dust a rooftop or two along the way.

The second system works to our north Christmas morning, but may be close enough to spit out a few festive flakes.

Temps today will be in the teens this morning with wind chills close to zero at times. Highs this afternoon climb into the 20-25 degree range and drop back into the upper teens this evening. We should hold there into Christmas morning.
