Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. Things are starting off on a soggy note with a band of showers scooting eastward across the state. The fast movement of this means conditions will improve late today into Sunday.
Heavy rain and some rumbles of thunder will be possible this morning. Here’s what you need to track it:
Winds will be very gusty with thermometers warming into the upper 40s and low 50s early. Those numbers will come down a bit by late in the day.
Sunday features temps in the low and middle 40s with partly sunny skies to round out the weekend.
A return to winter comes next week as several systems impact our weather. Each will bring a shot of colder air than the one before it.
The European Model continues to insist on a storm system blowing across our region Monday night into Tuesday…
That would be a rain to snow situation before the precipitation pulls out of town during the afternoon and evening. Check out the shot of cold coming behind it…
There could be another system diving in behind this one by Tuesday night into Wednesday. That one is trying to dig more with each model run.
Another system dives in by the end of the week and will bring another snow threat our way. The air behind this one is even colder…
The pattern is in a reloading process and, yet, we are getting shots of cold and snow chances for next week. That speaks volumes about this winter in the United States.
Moral of the story… let’s enjoy this break in the cold and snow.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
