Good Thursday, folks. We have a much milder weather pattern taking shape over the next several days, and things mighty get warmer after that. Some true springtime temps look to show up for a few days early next week.
Let’s start with where we are Thursday.
Highs Thursday will surge into the upper 40s and low 50s in many areas. Southern parts of the state will hit the low and middle 50s. Skies will be partly sunny for all.
There is a storm across the southeastern seaboard that might come just close enough to throw a couple of showers into southeastern Kentucky. The best chance for that would be later Thursday night or Friday morning. You can see that well on the future radar from the Hi-Res NAM:
The increase in clouds across the southeast might keep temps down a few degrees compared to the rest of the state on Friday. Check out the forecast highs from the NAM:
This front will knock the temps down several degrees for Sunday. Highs will rebound only into the 40s, with a small chance of showers.
Temps early next week will take off, and we might see a few days in the 60s. Old Man Winter might try to spoil the spring party by the end of the week.
Enjoy your Thursday and take care.
