Better weather moves in Today

Good Tuesday, everyone. We have much better weather rolling into the bluegrass state today. That sticks around for most of the rest of the week. Don’t let this get you too pumped up for spring… there’s still some winter showing up for next week.

Today will start with some fog and low clouds with temps in the 30s. The afternoon will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temps nearing the 60 degree mark.

A weak cold front moves in late tonight and early Wednesday. This is likely to produce a couple of gusty showers. Here’s the Hi-Res NAM radar forecast:

Temps will take a bit of a tumble behind this front. You can see how the chillier air works in from the west during Wednesday afternoon:

Thursday into Friday will turn breezy and milder. Temps will be well into the 60s by Friday as skies stay mostly sunny.

Things begin to go the other way over the weekend as a strong cold front moves in. This push of cold air is the initial surge of what looks to be a cold pattern taking shape. Check out how far below normal the European Model is forecasting temps to be early next week:

It’s the winter that doesn’t want to end. Make it a great day and take care.
