Good Thursday to one and all. Spring officially arrives in the bluegrass state at 12:57pm and it’s bringing some nice weather with it. The nice weather and a flip to a new season doesn’t necessarily mean we’re through with winter. It does show up as we head into next week.
Temps today will warm into the mid and upper 50s across central and eastern Kentucky. Skies will be partly sunny with gusty winds around 20mph at times.
Friday turns even milder and that looks to carry us into the start of the weekend. Take a look at the high temp forecast from the European Model:
Much colder air moves in for Sunday with highs in the low to middle 40s. This is the beginning of a very cold pattern taking shape for next week. The next shot of cold moves in late Monday into Tuesday and it may be accompanied by a storm.
The European Model brings a system from the south and threatens the region with some rain and snow:
Enjoy your day and take care.
