Weekend weather breakdown

Good Saturday, everyone. The weekend is underway and we have a pretty nice weather day in store for the region. This begins to change over the next  days as colder temps filter back into the bluegrass state. This will lead to a couple of winter weather chances over the next week.

Highs today will be in the mid and upper 50s with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a small threat for a shower or two this morning.

Colder air moves in later tonight into Sunday morning and meets up with a touch of moisture coming in from the south. The end result may be a quick-hitting shot of rain and snow across southern Kentucky. Here’s what the NAM is seeing:

That action will be in and out of town before you know it. Sunny skies take over during the afternoon with highs in the 40s.

The next storm system will dive in from the northwest by Monday night into Tuesday. This will bring a shot of light snow and gusty winds our way…

That’s also a very cold air mass coming in behind that for Tuesday and Wednesday. That should scoot out of here by the end of the week as a milder pattern tries to take over:

Euro 2Enjoy your Saturday and take care.
