Good Monday to one and all. Much colder air has moved into the Bluegrass State, and it gets colder from here for a while. The cold air is likely to bring more snowflakes about the middle of the week. That said, spring is showing up strongly as we head into early April.
Let’s start with Monday and roll forward. Highs will top out in the middle 40s under a partly sunny sky. Some clouds will increase overnight as a wintry system dives in for Tuesday. This will bring a round of light snow and flurries our way:
Highs on Tuesday will generally run in the mid and upper 30s. This will set the stage for a super cold night, with lows hitting the teens by Wednesday morning:
Highs later Wednesday will rise into the upper 30s to near 40 as the sun returns. We will see a quick warm-up by Thursday, with highs nearing 60 degrees. We’ll probably hit the 60s on Friday, with showers and thunderstorms.
This looks to be the beginning of a much warmer pattern taking shape through early April. That pattern might turn rather wet. Take a look at the two-week rainfall forecast from the GFS:
Have a great Monday and take care.
