A taste of early Summer

Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. We have a gorgeous couple of days in front of us as the pattern takes on the feel of early summer. Let’s make sure to get out and enjoy it because huge changes are ahead of us next week.

Highs today will hit the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. If you’re heading out to Keeneland, things look to be fantastic. Most of the day looks dry, but there is the smallest chance for a pop up shower or storm going up.

Sunday looks even better with thermometers heading toward the low 80s.

Changes blow in by Monday with the potential for strong or severe storms ahead of a cold front. That front will introduce a shot of winter weather to the bluegrass state by early Tuesday. That’s when some of the models show a few snowflakes around here:

GFS 3 Even if this system doesn’t throw some flakes our way… it’s going to get cold. Freezing temps will be possible for the middle of next week:
