Frost threat Wednesday morning

Good Tuesday, everyone. We have a cold front moving across the state, and it will usher in a shot of chilly air. It might get cold enough for some frost to form early Wednesday morning. Beyond this, a big weather battle looks to be brewing.

The scattered showers and storms with Tuesday’s cold front won’t be around very long. Partly sunny skies will move back in Tuesday afternoon as the drops work to our east. Highs will be in the upper 60s to near 70 with gusty winds.

Chilly air will dive in from the northwest this evening and really settle in later Tuesday night. Check out the forecast lows coming from the NAM:

NAM It might be a good idea to protect the tender plants and vegetation across the central and eastern parts of the state.

Highs for Wednesday afternoon will be close to 60 degrees for many. We’re back into the 70s by Thursday as another cold front takes aim at the state. This brings a line of showers and storms our way Thursday night into early Friday:

The models are having trouble figuring our where we go after that front swings through. Some of the models bring a big push of chilly air by late in the weekend. Others suggest we get some showers and storms by Sunday and early next week.
