Calmer days ahead

Good Wednesday, everyone. Calmer and cooler days are ahead of us in the Bluegrass State. That is certainly welcome news to the waterlogged and storm-weary region. We still have some showers to go through before the cool weather arrives.

Gusty showers will be in the region early Wednesday, and they might be stubborn. Rumbles of thunder will be possible in the east. Temps will be tricky because of the lingering rains and clouds. Highs in the low and mid-60s are a good bet for areas seeing the clouds and near 70 for areas getting more sunshine.

Euro There is a small threat of a lingering shower on Friday, but some sunshine should return for Saturday.

Another weak system might deliver a shower or thunderstorm by Sunday or Monday, but a warm pattern is lurking for the middle of next week. Highs in the 80s are showing up on the models:

Have a great day and take care.
