Cool and windy for a few days

Good Thursday, everyone. We’re rolling into the month of May on a cool and windy note here in the bluegrass state. This will carry us into the start of Kentucky Derby weekend, but a much warmer pattern is taking shape as we roll into next week.

Temps today will only hit the upper 50s to low 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. We will have a shower or two trying to develop during the afternoon hours. The usual tracking toys will carry you through the day:

Current temperatures

Kentucky Oaks Friday should feature very similar conditions to what we have out there today.

Saturday looks much better for the Kentucky Derby with temps approaching 70 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds.

That takes us into a pattern straight out of the month of June. Warm air should take over much of the country:

Euro GFSThis should send out temperatures into the 80s as we hit the middle of next week. Most of the week looks dry.

Have a great day and take care.
