Good Friday, folks. We’ve made it to the end of the week. Unfortunately, the weather isn’t looking to be the best in the world. Gusty showers get the weekend started off, but I do see some improvement in the days to come.
Highs Friday will range from the upper 50s to near 60 with gusty winds. A disturbance will dive in from the northwest and deliver a few showers and thunderstorms. With cold air aloft, some small hail will be possible. Track away:
Lows on Saturday morning might drop into the mid- and upper 30s, and that could put us within reach of records. The record low for Lexington is 38 degrees in 1973.
Weekend highs will continue to run well below normal. Check out the forecast from the European Model:
Temps will slowly rise as we head into next week. Highs in the 70s should return for Monday and Tuesday as southwesterly winds crank up. The real warmth arrives by the middle and end of the week:
That has highs in the 80s written all over it.
Make it a great day and take care.
