Good Sunday, everyone. We’re slowly pulling out of this chilly pattern we’ve been in for the past several days. It gave Lexington a record tying low temperature on Saturday and will give us a touch of frost to start today. Hang in there… warmer weather is moving in.
Highs today will head into the mid to upper 60s for most of central and eastern Kentucky. Skies will be mostly sunny and this will be a good day to get out and do a little yard work.
High temps continue to rise as we roll through the first half of the new week. Check out the forecast numbers from the GFS:
As you can see, temps turn a little toasty by Wednesday with middle 80s a possibility. That’s when a few clouds increase by the afternoon and evening and a few storms may follow suite by Thursday. This may be the beginning of a stormy setup that takes us through next weekend and into early the following week.
The European Model shows come decent rain totals during that time…
Make it a great Sunday and take care.
