Good Tuesday to one and all. Summer air has settled into the bluegrass state and looks to hang around for the rest of the week. This comes complete with high humidity, warm temps and a daily threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Coming off the long holiday weekend, today feels a lot like a Monday to many folks. Temps will be back into the mid and upper 80s with the muggy factor really kicking in. This will lead to a scattering of boomers.
Rainfall since midnight
Wednesday is looking to feature a little more widespread shower and storm action as the flow comes directly from the western Gulf Of Mexico:
– Any storm that goes up will have the potential to be on the strong side. Isolated severe storms will be possible.
– These storms will produce a lot of lightning and very heavy rainfall.
– With the increase in humidity levels, the heavy rain could cause some local high water issues.
Highs for the rest of the weekend will generally run in the 80s with lows in the 60s. Yep… that sounds a lot like summer to me.
Have a great day and take care.
