Storms on the increase

Good Tuesday to one and all. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are rumbling across Central and Eastern Kentucky. These storms might pack a bit of a severe weather punch for some areas.

If you’re a frequent reader of the blog, you know I’ve been pointing out a slow-moving storm system heading our way. That system is now pushing into the western Ohio Valley and is pulling up moisture out of the Gulf:

GFS 3 That will means rounds of showers and thunderstorms pushing from southwest to northeast across the state Tuesday. A similar flow will carry us into Wednesday. Later this week and into the weekend, another system will work our way from the west. All told, locally heavy rainfall is a good possibility:
