Good Sunday, folks. It’s another day with scattered showers and thunderstorms rumbling across central and eastern Kentucky. The storms have been common of late, but the overall pattern looks to undergo a big change for the big holiday week ahead.

Scattered storms will continue into Monday as thermometers head into the upper 80s to near 90 for some.
A cold front approaches the region from the northwest late Tuesday into Wednesday. That could touch off a line of strong thunderstorms as it presses in. The air behind this front is much cooler and drier and that could spell better news for our 4th of July holiday period. Check out the cooler look from the European Model:
Have a great day and take care.
