Good Friday and Happy 4th of July. We are celebrating the big day with perfect weather conditions. Low humidity, highs in the 70s and full sunshine will combine to deliver the blast of awesomeness.
Highs today should be in the upper 70s for most of central and eastern Kentucky. This will mark only the 9th time in the last 100 years Lexington has had 4th of July highs in the 70s without rain. That’s pretty amazing!
Mother Nature owes us a good one. Last year featured 1″-3″ of rain with some flooding. The year before gave us the hottest 4th on record with a 99 degree high.
The rest of the weekend looks great with temps returning to the 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Showers and storms will increase early next week as we head back into a stormy pattern.
