Good Thursday, everyone. Showers and thunderstorms are getting ready to target the Bluegrass State. This will be just in time for the weekend, and that doesn’t bode well for golf fans at Valhalla. It isn’t going to be a total washout, but storms might play a role.
Thursday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a few scattered showers and storms developing during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be back into the middle and upper 80s across Central and Eastern Kentucky.

Showers and storms will really increase from west to east Thursday night and early Friday as low pressure scoots in from the west. Heavy rainfall and a few strong storms will be possible. The NAM shows the action staying pretty widespread into early Saturday:
Showers and storms will continue in scattered fashion through early next week. That should deliver some needed rains to the commonwealth. Western parts of the state are becoming pretty desperate for rain. Some areas have had less than a half-inch of rain during the past month or so.
Have a great day and take care.
