Rounds of showers and storms continue

Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. Things continue to run a little on the soggy side as rounds of showers and storms rumble across Kentucky. This is giving us some much needed rainfall, but it’s coming at the expense of the last weekend of summer break for many.

The showers and storms today should have a little more fire than the storms of Friday. That means a strong storm or two can’t be ruled out across central and eastern Kentucky. Any storm that goes up will have the potential to dump some very heavy rains across our region.

A similar setup will be in place for Sunday. Highs both days will be lucky to get out of the 70s.

A stronger system will move our way early next week from the northwest. This will bring additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms:

Euro That will unleash another cool shot of air that takes us through most of next week. Temps across much of the central and eastern parts of the country will be well below normal:
