Good Saturday, everyone. Our recent run of nice and dry weather is about to come to a booming end. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will blow into town on Sunday and those are likely to keep coming at us through next week.
This could set the stage for heavy rainfall that could cause some issues.
A few clouds will roll in today with temps ranging from 80-85 degrees. There is a small chance for a shower or thunderstorm into central and northern parts of the area.
Showers and storms will really increase late Sunday as low pressure works in from the west. That low will slowly move across the region into Monday with another system following that up by the middle of the week.
The end result will be rounds of storms with torrential rainfall the primary player. The models continue to point toward some hefty totals through next week:
