Better air blows in Wednesday

Good Wednesday, everyone. Our stormy pattern is taking a brief break across Central and Eastern Kentucky. This means we have a couple of mostly dry days settling into our region. It’s not going to last long, so make sure to get out and enjoy it.

A weak cold front is working to our south and bringing much better weather into town. Highs today will range from the low to middle 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. I still can’t rule out a shower or thunderstorm popping up across the south and east.

Thursday looks a little warmer and more humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s. There will be a small chance for isolated showers and storms going up.

Our storm chances increase into Friday as a slow-moving cold front works our way from the northwest. This front moves in over the weekend with a big increase in showers and storms. Saturday looks particularly stormy:

GFS Locally heavy rains will be possible. A few storms will linger into Sunday as our front sweeps through here. Cooler and drier air works in to start the new week.

That won’t last very long because additional rounds of showers and storms develop by the middle of next week:
