Changes on the way

Good Saturday, folks. The weather has been great, but boring, for the past couple of weeks. We have one more super-duper weather day before a few changes work in for late Sunday and Monday. This may be just the beginning of a much different pattern setting up show as we head into early October.

Highs today will hit the upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of clouds and suns.

Current Temperatures

Showers will increase from south to north on Sunday and Sunday night. This won’t be a washout with much of the action being scattered. The highest threat will be across southern and eastern Kentucky.

Temps into the middle of next week will warm into the upper 70s to around 80 as southwesterly winds gust up. This will be ahead of a strong cold front that swings in by the end of the week with showers and thunderstorms. The European Model shows the front arriving for the opening of the fall meet at Keeneland:

Much colder air then filters in behind that boundary…

GFS 3Have a great Saturday and take care.
