Good Saturday, everyone. Milder air is pushing into the region for the next couple of days, but it won’t last very long. We have another arctic front that moves in on Monday and smacks us in the face with a huge temperature drop and a touch of frozen precipitation.
Let’s start with today and roll forward.
We will have a mix of sun and clouds today with gusty winds boosting temps into the upper 40s to low 50s. There is the smallest chance for a shower or two.
Sunday will find temperatures surging into the upper 50s to near 60. Winds may gust up to 35mph at times as some showers work into town. Those showers are ahead of the arctic front that slams in here Monday.
That’s when temps drop close 20-30 degrees in just a matter of hours. Rain will then mix with sleet and some snow during the afternoon and evening hours. Some of the models are suggesting we get some of that to accumulate:
That would make for some messy travel as temps drop well below freezing Monday night and Tuesday morning. The Hi-Res GFS is also showing a similar band of snow and frozen setting up…
Make it a great day and take care.
