Good Monday to one and all. We’ve skipping right over April and heading straight into May with our weather. Mother Nature is ready to throw warm and humid air our way this week, and that will up the chances for more showers and thunderstorms.
Scattered stuff will be out there Monday as the warm air slowly pushes in. Temps should be held in check because of the clouds and scattered rain.
Some scattered storms will be possible on Tuesday as highs rise into the 70s. Those numbers should really take off by Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 80 degrees a strong possibility:
It will feel rather humid during this time as additional showers and thunderstorms blossom. The highest potential for severe weather comes during the second half of the week as a potent system works in from the west. That’s something to keep a very close eye on.
The setup remains active through next week, with more showers and thunderstorms possible. The rainfall numbers from the GFS model show the super-active weather pattern across the eastern half of the country:
That’s a lot of action for a lot of people.
Make it a great Monday and take care.
