A hot and humid Mother’s Day

Good Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day. Momma’s big day will be dominated by more of the same weather… Heat and humidity. A few storms could also fire up and that could be a sign of things to come.

A cold front moves in on Monday and that could spark some strong to severe thunderstorms. Here’s a look at the risk area:

This doesn’t look like a big outbreak of severe storms, but it’s worth keep an eye on.

Much cooler air will come in behind our front as it sweeps to our east on Tuesday. Morning showers will give way to afternoon sun with gusty winds and highs in the 70s. It gets even cooler for Wednesday with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Lows could hit the 40s for Wednesday and Thursday.

Warmer and more humid air fights back in by late week and that may bring an increase in showers and thunderstorms:

Temps could be back into the 80s next weekend into early the following week.
