Good Friday, everyone. Memorial Day weekend is starting out on a much better weather note across Central and Eastern Kentucky. That is great news for all the folks hitting the roads to start those weekend plans.
Our day starts chilly, with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Afternoon highs will reach the low 70s for most of the region, with partly sunny skies.

Highs on Saturday will rise to near 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Temps continue to climb for Sunday, with many areas seeing highs in the 80-85 degree range. There will be the smallest threat of a shower or storm across the west.
Highs in the low to middle 80s are likely on Memorial Day. An increase in humidity coming from the western Gulf of Mexico should mean an increased chance of some scattered storms. This flow looks to increase into the middle of next week:
That same setup should carry us through most of next week into the following weekend. Daytime highs are likely to be in the low and mid-80s with overnight lows in the low 60s. Each day should feature the threat of a scattered shower or storm.
Have a great day and take care.
