Tracking the potential for severe storms

Good Tuesday, everyone. We have rounds of showers and thunderstorms pushing across the Commonwealth. Some of these storms could be strong or severe, with damaging winds and large hail.

Any storm that blows up will contain a lot of lightning and heavy rain. These storms could cause a few local problems.

Scattered storms look common over the next several days. Muggy highs in the low and middle 80s should be common. Locally heavy rainfall should be the primary threat with all of the storms. Rainfall totals over the next week and change should average 1 to 3 inches for much of Central and Eastern Kentucky.
