Rounds of showers and storms continue

Good Thursday to one and all. Rounds of showers and storms will continue to rumble across Central and Eastern Kentucky through the next several days. Similar to what we’ve seen in recent days, a few of the boomers could be on the strong side.

A nice little moisture plume is working in from the south and should be able to touch off some more storms Thursday. Locally heavy downpours are a likely bet.

The threat for showers and storms will increase as we head into the weekend. That’s when a cold front works into the Ohio Valley and puts the brakes on. This front will never work through the area, butit  stays around to give us increased coverage of the showers and storms:
